Nigerian women have approved a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Women's Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Arbrahim, for their stunning services to the nation, especially for women, children, families and vulnerable.
This is also when the minister accused them of taking advantage of the numerous opportunities provided by the renewed agenda of hope of the President by making a difference for them and their families.

This recommendation was given at the City Council meeting held at the National Women's Center of Maryam Babanida in Abuja, on Thursday, where the Minister of Women's Affairs reaffirmed the unwavering federal government commitment to accelerate women's voices in national development.
The City Council meeting created space for open dialogue and strategic co-creation, where the experiences and perspectives of women's real life will inform policies and promote future action.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim described the event as more than a meeting, but as a decisive moment on Nigeria's trip towards inclusive governance and gender equity.
“We are really at a turning point in our national consciousness, one where inclusive development is no longer aspirational, but processable. In this era of the renewed agenda of hope, no woman or girl will be left behind.”
With the interested parties of the entire federation that attend, including civil society, base leaders, development partners and political actors, the minister used the platform to highlight the transformative initiatives executed during the past year. They include: “Empowerment of more than 15,000 women and vulnerable families through the renewed Hope Women's empowerment scheme.
“Expansion of the Nigeria for Women project, which supports more than 4.5 million women with subsidies and capacity of capacity in agricultural chains.
“Innovative platforms such as the Happy Woman application, Wave (agrovalual expansion women) and the Nigerian Women's Commerce village.
“Progress in the framework of subsidy of universal children and the review of the National Law of Policy and Rights of the Child.
“The emergence of Nigeria as the regional focal point at the tip of violence against children in Africa, after a historical regional meeting.”
A prominent point of the minister's comments was a strong call for women to be with economic power, which in turn would increase their powers of expenses, and a call for clarification for the support of the Special Law for the inclusion of women, which proposes the creation of the creation of the creation of 182 legislative seats exclusively for constitutional amendments aimed at the institutional action of women and the guarantee of women in national and state legislation.
The minister added that “our national development cannot be completed without dismantling the barriers that silence, marginalize or endanger women. That is why today matters. Of their voices, we will build a more fundamental, receptive and faster approach to achieve our ambition.”
He expressed a deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing women and children under the renewed agenda of hope; to the First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for his constant support; to the National Assembly and state assemblies for legislative collaboration; and for the development partners of Nigeria and civil society for their continuous association.
The City Council meeting gathered by the special assistant, technician for the minister, Princess Jummai Idonije, and her team made sure that women from different parts of the FCT shared their experiences and approved a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and the Minister of Women's Affairs who have been defending causes of women, children, families and vulnerable groups.
In a statement issued to journalists by the special advisor of the Minister on Media and Advertising, Mr. Jonathan Eze, in Abuja on Friday, the minister urged Nigerian women like this: “His voice is his power. He speaks. He is heard. It is heard. Our country needs their leadership, their ideas and their strength more than ever.”
