The Congress of all progressives (APC) in the state of Osun has declared that its governor ticket for the 2026 elections is not at stake, warning the Governor Adela Adelek against any attempt to join the party.
Speaking at a press conference at Osoagbo on Wednesday, former speaker of the Osun State Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye alleged that Governor Adeke was the fear of defeat and was discreetly planning the APC before the survey of August 8, 2026.
“I am saying this categorically that the APC ticket is not for sale. In fact, as of today, we do not see Adeke as a member or part of the APC as a party. Let me be honest with you, the APC in OSun is the party to win.”
He affirmed that Adeke and the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) tried to change loyalty due to the fear of losing power.
“I want to tell you that if not because of the fear of how unknown the Adelev family and the PDP are disturbing, they would not have shown the intention of reaching the APC. We have been saying this without a number that APC in Osun, if not by Brigandage, which followed the election of 2022 and the 2023, we should not have had PDP as chosen officials throughout the state.” “

Owoeye said that Adelev's time was approaching its end. “Now that the Adelev family has seen that their mandate is already finished, on August 8, 2026, we are moving the PDP of the Osun government, and we want to attract our people to remain calm. There is no space for PDP or Adelev in the APC.
“I want to compare the history of Adelev with a biblical harlot. They both gave birth to a child; one slept alone and the other died, and at the end of the day, the other Row wanted the child to be divided into two.”
This occurs a few hours after Governor Adeke, along with his brother, Chief Addeji Adeke, and Afrobeats musician, Davido, visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his residence in Lagos on Tuesday.
