Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) warned the public that they are not victims of false representatives of the company requesting rates for meetings with the Board of Directors of NNPC, executives and management personnel.
The Director of Corporate Communications of NNPCL (CCCO), Olufemi Soney, in a statement, while urging foreign investors and international commercial entities to remain cautious, described the actions as unauthorized and illegal.
“The general public is advised to be careful with the people and companies that falsely claim to represent NNPC Limited. Its tactics include requesting rates for meetings with the Board of Directors of NNPC, executives and management personnel. These actions are not authorized and illegal.
“Foreign investors are established and international commercial entities to remain cautious. If addressed, the incident reports to the appropriate authorities immediately.
“All legitimate commitments with NNPC Limited occur strictly through official channels or business units only.
