The former governor of Lagos, Babatunde Fashola (San), was absent in his voting unit on Saturday, to vote for the candidate of his party (APC) for the presidency and election of councilor.
Fashola, who was expected in the voting unit with his wife, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, was not seen during the elections, which began at 8.00 am and ended at 3.00 pm.
Nan recalled that Fashola was also absent during the local government elections of 2021.

The journalists, who waited for the former Minister of Power, Works and Housing, starting at 8.19 in the morning when the elections began in the unit, they went to other places after waiting hours, while some remained until the end of the possibility of their arrival.
The Nigeria news agency (NAN) informs that voting for the presidency and election of councilor in the Police Unit 002, at the Junior State Grammar School (special), Itolo Street, Eric Moore, Surulere, began at 8.19 AM, since at the time the INEC agents arrived at the unit.
The unit, which is the place where Fashola was expected to cast its vote, saw the eligible voters entering.
The unit that had 1,355 registered voters registered only 213 voters who came to exercise its franchise.
