EFCC apprehends 6 alleged Internet scammers in UYO

The Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, said that its agents arrested six people for alleged Internet fraud in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Head of Media and Advertising of the EFCC, DELE OYEWALE, Saturday.

The declaration was said in part: “The agents of the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, Zonal Directorate of UYO, have arrested six alleged Internet scammers in the areas of Ekamba and Ekpri Nsukara de Nwaniba, in the state of Akwa Ibom.

“The arrest promoted by intelligence led to the recovery of the following elements, eight mobile phones and two laptops. The suspects will be accused of courts soon.”
