The Union of Journalists of Nigeria (NUJ), the State Council of Zamfara, has re -elected Ibrahim Musa Maizare as president, together with other executives, to direct the affairs of the Union for a second mandate in the state.
The election of the Zamfara Nuj Council was held peacefully on Saturday at the Gusau press center, the state capital.
The election, which was held under the credential committee headed by Dahiru Samaila Mafara, saw all the positions returned without opposition.
The inauguration of the new executives of the Board was chaired by representatives of the national president of NUJ, the vice president of Zone A, Muhammad Tukur Umar, and the Zonal Secretary, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura, with the administration of the oath of the position.
In his comments, the Zonal Vice President accused the new executives who defended the Constitution of the Union and prioritize the well -being, protection and professional development of the members.
He emphasized the need for regular training, capacity development and timely dissemination of information to members.
In addition, he appealed to all journalists in exercise in the state to guarantee unity, mutual respect and rapid payment of their checking quotas and practice rates, as part of their responsibilities with the Union.

Secretary: Ibrahim Ahmad Gada from the Nigeria news agency
Undersecretary: Jamilu Sani Tsafe of the Legacy newspaper
Treasurer: Nafisa Abubakar Kanoma de Zamfara Radio
Financial Secretary: Surajo Muhammad of Pride FM
Internal Auditor: Ibrahim Muhammad of the Legacy newspaper
