The governor of Lagos, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu, has urged the Nigerians to continue praying and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while continuing to sit solid bases for a better and older Nigeria.
Governor Sanwo-olu took office on Friday, while talking in the official start-up of some important projects executed by Odi-Ocowo Executive/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rasaq Ajala, held in the Secretariat of the Council, Town Planning Way, Ilupeju.

Sanwo-olu, represented by the Vice Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, while taking office, said it was important that the Nigerians continue their support for continuous development and sustainability of Nigeria, that President Tinubu had embarked.
He said that the only way they could do this was making sure that they have their permanent voter cards (PVC) and continue voting for the Congress ruling of all progressives (APC), and added that it was evident and that one could see what governments from the local level to the state and federal level were achieving under the control of the party.
“I appeal to everyone, I tell their friends, neighbors, colleagues, family members who register for their PVC. They not only get the PVC, but also come and vote for the APC. We can see what local governments, state governments and federal governments under the control of the party are achieving.
“Let’s continue praying for our president (Tinubu) so that it always does well. It is the development of Africa that the world is waiting, and there will be some resistance from the western world, and we must also prevent internal enemies.
“Although Nigeria has pain collectively, and the president is correcting it, God will continue to help him. The only part that wants the best for people ads for the future of our children is the APC,” he said.
Governor Sanwo-olu said the party members should be proud that the country was fine, noting that Nigeria was indebted when Tinubu became president.
According to him, the forms and media were approximately N21Trillion, which he has currently paid, saying that “it must block certain funds to do so.”
The governor expressed his delight in what he saw in different areas of the local government that he visited to commission projects, including Mosun-Okunola Lcda, Odi-Olowo-Ojuwoye Lcda and Mushin LG, where the first radio station was established by any local government in Nigeria.
Previously in his message of goodwill, the Senate leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele said that the Senate, particularly the members of the Senate Constitutional Review Committee for the southwest region, would do everything humanly as possible to ensure that the 37 LCDA of the State of Lagos are in the Constitution as local governments in the country.
“I am standing to confirm that, by the grace of God, we will do everything we have to do to ensure that these LCDAs are enlightened in the Constitution as local governments in this country.
“His excellence, the Vice Governor, was the one who directed the delegation of the state of Lagos to the Senate Zonal Audience on the constitutional amendment two weeks ago here in the state of Lagos. Bamidele praised the outgoing president of Odi-Ocowo/Ojuwoye Lcda, Hon. Ajala, despite all his immense contributions to the development of the local government, and congratulated him for a successful conclusion of his mandate in a very good way, saying that he had done all proud, even when he thanked all those who had supported him in office.
In his message of goodwill, the president of APC in the state, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, urged the party members to leave and register for his permanent voter card (PVC), since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was preparing for the continuous registration of voters.
“It is not enough for you to leave and say that I am a member of APC, if you do not have the PVC, you have nothing to contribute,” said the APC chief.
Ojelabi, while recommending the head of the Council, Ajala, for his achievements, declared that he began very well, expressing his gratitude to God for allowing him to “end this trip in a very successful way.”

Ajala also said that iconic projects would generate and improve the income generated internally (IGR), allowing future administrations to further develop the community, create a leading work environment for staff, improving productivity and performance, reiterating that infrastructure were oriented to people’s people..
