President of the House of Representatives at the 8th National Assembly, RT Hon Yakubu Dogara has been reprimanded for accepting to serve an administration that vehemently punished and opposed during the general elections of 2023 as a Muslim Muslim presidential ticket.
The conviction was made by a former speaker, the lawyer Maigida Yakubu, in an open letter that addressed the former speaker and made the journalists in Bauchi on Saturday.
He condemned Dugara for taking the appointment of the government with which he mobilized the opposition during the electoral campaign.
In the open letter to Dugara, entitled “Behind the curtain of deception: unmasking the architect of the identity and division crisis of Zaar (Sayawa)” described the former speaker as the orchestrator of the division and decline of Zaar Land.
He wrote that “a master manipulator that has replaced honor with deception, unity with chaos, trust with betrayal and leads the community to an edge of fracture.”
In addition, he rebuked Yakubu Dugara for his position in the presidential elections of 2023, for which he fell with his party after the selection of the formula partner with the president.
According to him, “his registered trademark, deception and legendary errors finally obtained the center of attention they deserved. If there were prizes for political self-sabotage, you would have swept the night.”
He added: “You made a great sample of denouncing the Muslim Muslim ticket of the APC, parading as a moral crusader. However, during the last two years, you have been blatantly tearing at the feet of the same political group, begging for political appointments without a crushing of dignity.”
“To crown hypocrisy, it reached the extent of the importation of a Christian crowd rented mainly from the average belt just to help him represent his public but staged. Not even a crushed from Kunya (shame) in his behavior,” he added.
Maigida Yakubu added that “since when did you become the great coordinator of the Christian political mobilization? Oh, as usual, at the time it serves your selfish interest, suddenly you are full of energy and commitment as we saw in 2023”.
“Nothing more, nothing less. Well, these days, you are not busy disturbing the offices and houses of power runners like a political fly, buzzing without purpose, but making sure that everyone notices you,” he added.
In addition, he accused Yakubu Dogara of polarizing his constituents and exploiting vulnerable young people for his ego, with nothing to show in terms of empowerment.
“Remind us again, just to laugh, is there a son or daughter Basai who can say that he or she was really economically or politically empowered from your famous reign as a member and speaker of the House of Representatives? He asked.
“Or was it a personal victory parade? It is not a surprise there, everything we hear about you these days is to take villages and build properties, courtesy of fortune in which he raised years of extortion in the National Assembly,” he added.
He concluded: “In fact, ‘filling’ could be his most durable legacy in the eighth National Assembly, a term that will follow his name forever as a shadow.”
