The award -winning singer Ayra Starr has opened about her close relationship with the winning superstar of Grammy Wizkid, revealing that her friendship is full of shared humor and mutual admiration.
Speaking in the Etalk program, the ‘Rush’ singer described Wizkid not only as an iconic artist but also as a hilariously supportive friend.
She joked that the creator of ‘essence’ is “always sick” of her because constantly tries to make him laugh.

“Wizkid is an incredible friend and an incredible person to be close. I could learn a lot from him. He is hilarious and we have the same humor, so he is always fed up with me because he tried to make him laugh or something,” he said.
Ayra Starr recalled how nervous the first time they met for a study session. According to her, the legendary Wizkid status initially made her feel intimidated, but since then her link has been strengthened over time.
“During my first session, I was panic because it was Wizkid. But now we have made our music video together and I am old. It always tells me how much I have grown,” he shared.
She added with a laugh: “He is such an incredible artist, and having a icon so worked with me shows how incredible artist I am … I had to sneak that.”
The two stars recently collaborated in the song “Gimme Dat”, which has been well received by fans and further consolidated their artistic chemistry.
