The Congress candidate of all progressives (APC), Kamilu Sa’id has been declared the winner of Kaura Namoda South partial elections for the Chamber of the Assembly of the State of Zamfara.
This announcement was made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
The statement was made on Thursday night by the officer who returned to the INEC, Professor Lawal Sa’ad, after the collection of results of the re-ejutar election that took place in five voting units within the Kyambarawa and Saikejiki rooms of Kaura Namoda South.
The INEC return officer for the partial elections, announced that Sa’id of the APC received 8,182 votes, while the candidate of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) obtained 5,543 votes during the surveys.
“Having satisfied the INEC requirements and writing down the highest votes, Kamilu Sa’id of APC was declared winner and returned chosen,” he said.
Meanwhile, the state APC of Zamfara, in a statement issued by the Secretary of Advertising Malam Yusuf Idris, praised and congratulated the people of Kaura Namoda South, in particular and members of the party in the State, for the victory of the party in the selection of the House of the House of the House of the State.
Idris said that victory was a demonstration of a true commitment and believes that the APC is still the game to win in the state.
“Despite the alleged efforts of the ruling PDP in the State to manipulate the surveys through the use of thugs, ‘Yan Sakai and in fact armed bandits, they lost the popularity of APC,” he said.
