The veteran singer and speaker of the Gospel, Yinka Ayefele, has expressed concern about a series of personal misfortunes that seem to occur repeatedly in August.
Speaking in a message of thanks to the followers at their radio station after a recent fire that destroyed FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3 in Ibadan, Ayefele questioned why many of their most heartbreaking experiences are linked to the same month.
The singer recalled the tragic loss of his younger brother, Oluwole Ayefele, who was the leader of the ore team and died in a fatal accident on August 2.
He also reflected on the demolition of his popular music house in Ibadan on August 19, seven years ago, and, more recently, the fire that destroyed his radio stations on August 15, 2025.

“There is something that I do not understand. Some years ago, my immediate younger brother had an accident and died on August 2. In addition, seven years ago, on August 19, my music house was demolished. Now on August 15, 2025, my radio stations caught fire. It was the men of God who came to pray for me that caught my attention to this. Why always August?
Despite recurring setbacks, Ayefele expressed his gratitude to God and his supporters, saying that his support continues to give strength during difficult times.
