The national leader of the new Popular Party of Nigeria (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has denied the reports that the NNPP is leaving for another game.
The former Governor of the State of Kano, who declared this while he was heading to the delegates at the 9th meeting of the Party of the National Executive Council (NEC), which was held on Tuesday at the Bolingo Hotel, Abuja, added that NNPP is ready to work with any person, but added that the party is well, respected and loved by the Nigerians.
Kwankwaso confirmed that several individuals have contacted him about joining different political parties, while others have urged him to stay where he is.
He said he feels encouraged and convinced by the loyalty of the party members, particularly the least privileged, who are committed to the ideals of the NNPP and his overwhelming support in Nigeria assures him his dedication.
While adding that the NNPP is open to negotiating with anyone in regard to 2027, Kwankwaso said that it will be the collective decision of each party member any decision that makes the political situation collect impulse.
He said: “We have a very loyal and powerful leadership and we have membership in Kwankwasiyya and NNPP. Every time I sat and listened to people, some would come and say: go to A, some will say that B or C and others would come and say where you are, and so on. But the fact that there is no one in Kwankwasiyy And what I don’t know, and I don’t know, and I don’t know, what is not what is not.
“We are open, we are ready to talk to anyone who wants us to work together by 2027. But the fact is that this party is not my party, it is not the president’s party, it is not the party for those of us in this room, it is for the Nigerians. All are free to enter.
“And I want to assure you that the leadership will not fail. We will be fair and continue to ensure that there is justice for all and I think more and more people come. If there is something, if there is any request, it will be collective and not only for the negotiators but for all the members of this family, the NNPP.
“But be sure that this leadership you see will never fail you. We will negotiate anywhere where we are going if we have to go somewhere. But for now, we are in NNPP. We are moving around 2027 and we are very happy with ourselves, especially with the experiences we had in the past.
He added: “I have worked with few people over the years with my days as vice president of the House of Representatives in 1992. We worked very hard with the leadership of Shehu Musa Yar’adua, worked for (mko) Abiola, which is stock sdp. My house and that of (Bashir) Tofa of the blessed memory is at the short distance. The national president of the party, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, in his previous comments, praised the leadership role that Kwankwaso has shown by making NNPP stand out as the pillar of party policy in Nigeria and also transformed it to a formidable political party in the country. Ajuji revealed that Kwankwaso will also be the presidential candidate of the party in 2027.
“I want to pay a special tribute to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, our visionary leader, former state governor, former Minister of Defense, former diplomat and former presidential candidate of our great party in 2023, and Insha Allah, the next presidential candidate of our party in 2027.

The event was adorned by members of the National Labor Committee, Board of Trustees, Federal and State Legislators, Presidents of the State Party, among others.
