The Nigerian stock market began the week with a bearish note, with the NGX All-Share (as) index decreasing by 0.40 percent to close by 139,722.19 basic points.
The recession of the market in the Nigerian exchange (NGX) was largely driven by the sale pressure in Lafarge Africa, Zenith Bank and United Bank for Africa, since these impediments fell value by 5.38 percent, 2.42 percent and 2.88 percent, respectively.
Market capitalization also threw N439.57 billion or 0.41 percent, establishing N88.41 billion.
Consequently, monthly and year yields to date were set at -0.4 percent and +35.8 percent, respectively.
As measured by market amplitude, the feeling of the market was negative, since 15 tickers won in relation to 32 losers.
On the performance board, she and eternal led the laggards, having dropped into value by 10 percent each, while Sovereign Insurance and Scoa recorded the most significant profits of the day after their respective values of participation appreciated by 10 percent and 9.8 percent.
Sectorial performance was widely negative, since banking, industrial goods, oil and gas and insurance rates decreased by 1.1 percent, 0.9 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while the index of consumer goods was closed flat.
The commercial activity was mixed: the number of agreements increased by 32.22 percent to 33,859, while the commercial volume fell by 6.24 percent to 407.98 million units, and the commercial value increased significantly by 42.21 percent to N14.78 billion.
FCMB Group was the most negotiated by volume action at 55.84 million units, while Aradel Holdings was the most negotiated action by value at N5.31 billion.
