Senator Kabiru Marafa, a former head of the Congress of all progressives (APC) in the state of Zamfara, has promised to deduce a million votes from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Marafa, who represented Zamfara Central in the Senate from 2011 to 2019, recently resigned from APC, accusing the president of “use and careless.”
While talking about politics today, a channel television program on Monday, Marafa said he has resolved to ensure that one million votes are deducted from Tinubu’s total votes in 2027.
“I am going to assure you something today. I will deduce a million of the votes of Mr. President who obtained in 2023. Mark my words. I will do it. I would work for it and by the special grace of God, I will win that.
“Now, if someone said that I am Pisapapeles, I am a light weight; whatever, 2027 will determine who is a pisapapeles.”
Continuing, Marafa, who worked as Zamfara State Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization in the 2023 presidential elections, declared that due to the “great disenchantment”, the main politicians in Zamfara are on one side.
“And again, let me tell you. In 2023, only to say the level to which our policy has emerged today. Due to the strong disenchantment of people, all people, anyone who can call substance in the state of Zamfara, we are aside.
“And it is dude, which has never been in politics, except in 2023, could ensure victory against all of us. Four former governors, how many senators? How many members of the House of Representatives?
“Now, the only choice we can win was that of Mr. President and Courtesy of the message that we took to the people that Mr. President promised that he was going to change the APC rewards system.
“Because people were not happy with the end of the Buhari government. He promised that he was going to eradicate the concept of mono de and work, Babuino Dey Chop. Just for him to strengthen him, institutionalized and became the state policy of the APC,” he added.
