Gov Lawal will speak at the 5th AFSNET investment conference in Algeria

The governor of the state of Zamfara, Dauda Lawal, is scheduled to speak at the Fifth Investment Conference of the Network of the African Subovereignes Governments (AFSNET).

The intrafrican commercial fair (IATF2025) will take place from September 4 to 10, 2025, in the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exhibition Center (Safex) in Algiers, Algeria, under the theme “Gateway to new opportunities”.

A statement by the Governor’s spokesman Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the investment conference will take place outside the fourth edition of the intrafrican trade fair (IATF2025).

“The Intra-African Commercial Fair (IATF2025) will be organized by the Democratic Popular Republic of Algeria and will be convened in AFREXIMBANK in collaboration with the AUC Union Commission (AUC) and the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade area (AFCFTA).

“The intrafrican commercial fair (IATF2025) will provide a unique and valuable platform for companies to access a single African market of more than 1.4 billion people with a GDP of more than US $ 3.5 billion created under the African continental free trade area.

“This year’s issue, ‘Local Power, Global Impact: Strengthening of Governments of Africa for Sustainable Development,’ emphasizes our collective commitment to take advantage of local governance for transformative continental results.

“On the basis of the success of the fourth AFSnet conference held in Kisumu, Kenya, who brought together more than 45 governors, mayors, local government leaders, investors and development partners throughout Africa, the AFSNET conference emphasizes the strategic importance of the suboverous entities in the promotion of the continental free trade area of ​​Africa (AFCFTA).

“The conference presents high -level dialogues, investment launch sessions and commitments B2B and B2G Objective, which allows subnational actors to present projects ready for development and explore financing opportunities.

“With a strong emphasis on inclusive growth, decentralized cooperation and regional integration, the Kisumu conference served as a powerful platform to mobilize resources, strengthen associations and draw processable routes so that local governments promote the Agenda of Commerce and Development of Africa from the ground.

“Governor Lawal was invited to talk about a high -level panel discussion entitled ‘Investment exhibition: Opportunities for presenting African and Caribbean subveres selected in recognition of their experience and leadership.”
