The Congress of all progressives (APC), the Chapter of the State of Zamfara, concerned about insecurity in the state, has opened to the Dauda Lawal governor, saying that it is time of action, not propaganda of the media.
In a statement issued Thursday night by the advertising secretary of the APC of the State of Zamfara, Malam Yusuf Idris, the party said that it is horrified by the continuous effusions of the Dauda Lawal Governor since he said he was aware of the movement of each Kingpin and his group that operates in the state of Zamfara.
The statement says in part: “As a party, we do not know why it continues to allow them to kill and kidnap innocent citizens of the State, or perhaps because they want to use them, directly or otherwise, against their political rivals, especially of the APC.
“In a recent interview with some House government journalists, Gusau, the governor unequivocally told the media men who know all the camps of the bandits that operate in the forests of Zamfara and know all their movements.
“However, he, as the State Security Director, has constantly refused to take proactive measures against them, but only says that if he had the authority, he would end Banditry in the state within two weeks.
“In addition to being delirious by having presidential powers with which to eliminate the butcher shop, the governor forgot that he has established, as well as armed to the State Community Protection Guard, on whom only he has powers, and only he can lead them to the hiding places of the bandits, what he knows, so that they can go and smoke them. “In the same way, while he boasted that he bought and distributed 150 vehicles to the security agencies, the Dauda governor could not say that all vehicles were not given, and that the dice were not operational vehicles, but that they provided mobility to the beneficial agencies, without any greater support, such as the assignment of fuel and maintenance.
“Remember that by celebrating its first hundred days in office as governor, Bella Matawalle distributed 200 fully equipped operational vehicles to all security agencies in the state and supported it with assignments to relieve her logistics.
“Our question for the Dauda Governor is: Do you review the videos of his campaign to see his politicization of insecurity in the state in all the cities and towns he visited, or think that all the governors who neglected have control over any of the security agencies?
“The governor’s statement is a clear acceptance of the failure of his government to protect the lives and properties of citizens against the attacks of the bandits.
“That he concentrates on delivering his campaign promises to end BandiderÃa in two months and stop distributing anyone. Now is the time of action, not the propaganda of the media,” the statement concluded.
