The US Naval Academy. Uu. It came into block after a threat led an injured person during a security response, authorities said.
“At 5:07 PM EST, the Naval Support Activity Annapolis Security, in coordination with the Local Police, responded to the reports of suspicious activities on the land of the Naval Academy,” a naval official told Fox News Digital. “There is no active threat of the shooter; however, a person was injured while the naval security forces were clearing a building.
“A person has been a measure of injuries. It is in stable conditions. The base remains in the blockade. We will provide updates as they are available.”
Shots were reported inside the Bancoft Hall, which houses the guards. A victim was transferred by plane to receive treatment, and others were evaluated.
An internal email of Captain David forms, an attached commander of Guardiamarinas, said that a guide confused the police authorized by a threat, committed and was injured. Email says that the Guardiamarina is stable and receives attention.
At one point, an official on the campus said: “The shooter is calling the doors pretending to be a military police.” Later, the authorities clarified that this was erroneous information.
“Secretary Phelan is aware of the situation and has been receiving NCIS minute updates and USNA leadership. Usna is in great caution,” said a Navy official to Fox News Digital.
Lieutenant Naweed Lemar, Nsaa Pao, added: “Naval support activity Annapolis, in coordination with the application of local law, is currently responding to the reports of threats made to the Naval Academy. The base is in blocking an abundance of caution. This is a development situation, and we will provide updates as they are available.”
A defense department official confirmed that the agency is monitoring the situation and that “Secretary Hegseth has been informed.”
A message attributed to the commander, shared between the guards and obtained by Fox News, declared that the initial threat began on the anonymous chat platform Yodel. He traced even a separate guide who later found in his parents’ house in the west.
The message said that the Guardiamarina injured today confused the security forces with an intruder and linked the incident with a wave of false active shooting reports throughout the country. The commander warned that “erroneous information was the greatest threat today.”

A former student told Fox News Digital that it must be “horrible” for the gathers locked in Bancroft Hall, describing it as much at home and in the workplace for more than 4,000 people.
“It is definitely horrible because the school is very close. The common phrase that will hear that the guards describe Bancroft Hall is that you live and work there,” said the former student.
“Then, it is, it is both their home and their workplace,” they added, explaining how the room has two 24/7 security control points with armed guards. “The only form of security is CAC readers, therefore, in theory, you cannot enter unless you have a cac or someone as you leave the door open.”
The authorities said that a final sweep of the patio was underway and that the closure would be built soon.
