The Grammy Cardi B rapper has revealed that a baby is waiting for his boyfriend, the open receiver of the New England Patriots Stefon Diggs.
The “Yellow” wedding star confirmed the news during an interview with Gayle King at CBS Mornings, published on Wednesday, September 17.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi said, marking together the couple’s first child. The couple became public with their relationship earlier this year.
The pregnancy follows the very publicized division of Cardi de Rapper offset, with whom he shares three sons: the daughters Kulture and Blossom, and are Wave.
Talking to King, the 31 -year -old artist said she feels empowered and supported during this new chapter of her life.
“I feel that I am in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I am doing all this job. But I am doing all this job while I am creating a baby,” he said, adding that Diggs has been a constant source of encouragement. “People came to me very strong, but he makes me feel very safe.”
Cardi admitted that he experienced moments of anxiety amid the pressures of his next Rollout album. “Two weeks ago, I was literally having a panic attack … just because I was really nervous with all the album,” he shared.
With his characteristic humor, the rapper also turned his announcement into a shout of rally so that fans support his second album, am I the drama?
“Now everyone could buy my album to buy pampering and diapers and all that kind of thing,” he joked. “Go to support my album, because I am now a mother of four children.”
Cardi also revealed that he delayed the news until he could “close some offers first” and confessed that he has not yet informed his parents, joking that he is “scared.”
His pregnancy occurs after weeks of speculation, promoted by recent public appearances and specific questions of journalists.
Cardi had previously eliminated rumors at one time, throwing a pen to an aggressive reporter outside a Manhattan court, but she says she is now ready to embrace the moment.
Despite the previous doubts about falling in love again after his divorce, Cardi said Diggs encouraged her to give her a chance.
“Let me cure. Give me an opportunity for me to cure you,” he recalled that he said.
With her prospered relationship and her album ready for her launch, Cardi B told King that her music feels complete:
“I feel that it plays every little thing I want to touch. And I feel it is something that is not out there at this time.”
