The restaurant chain of Cervecería and Scratch, Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, has announced the closure of all its 16 remaining locations in several states of the United States.
In a shared message on Facebook, the brewery said: “It has been a pleasure to serve him, and we are deeply grateful for his support, friendship and loyalty over the years. We sincerely hope to return in the future, and when we do, we promise to welcome him with open weapons.”
The closures follow the closure of three other locations earlier this month in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, according to the philadelphia inquiring.
In December 2024, Iron Hill announced plans for a new location at the University of Temple in Philadelphia. It was expected to be the 20th chain site but never opened.
The brewery has not given an official reason for the closures, although an employee told the Philadelphia inquiring that the staff received a message on the morning of September 25 stating that the company had declared bankruptcy and that it was closing the operations immediately.
