Fubara praises the body members for contributions to the state Devt

The governor of the State of Rivers, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that the Government and the people of the State of Rivers will remain grateful to the members of the National Corps of the Youth Service (NYSC) for their contribution to the growth and development of the State.

The governor made the recommendation in the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, during the swearing in the ceremony of the Body B members of 2025 B.

Fubara, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, the Office of the Cabinet, the Office of the Secretary of the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Aziboolani Uzoma-Nwugu, assured the body members that their administration will be fully compromised and implacable by supporting the NYSC scheme towards the achievement of its mandate and objectives.

He also accused them of adopting the Skills Procurement Training Program for the whole heart to be self -sufficient and contributing to the economic growth and development of the Nation.

Previously, the state coordinator, the state of NYSC Rivers, Mr. Moses Olehe, had informed the governor that the body members are “focused, mentally, emotionally and psychologically” ready to make positive impacts and contribute significantly to the development of the nation.

He advised the members of the body to see the year of service as a rare opportunity to discover themselves and redirect their youthful energy to have a positive impact on society.

The administration of the oath of loyalty was made by Judge Mark Chuku, who represented the main state judge.

A total of 2,100 body members, which comprise 910 men and 1,190 women, were sworn in the occasion.
