Badaru meets service chiefs, promises unified security strategy – Tribune Online

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, on Wednesday received the newly appointed Chief of Defense Staff and the three service chiefs during their first courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.

In attendance were the Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major General W Shaibu; Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I Abbas; and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal SK Aneke.

In a statement signed by his PA, media and publicity, Mati Ali said the visit underlines the minister’s commitment to building a cohesive defense leadership anchored in trust, collaboration and shared purpose.

“It also sets in motion renewed momentum towards a unified strategy and decisive action to safeguard the territorial integrity and national interests of Nigeria under the leadership of the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the statement stated.
