As part of activities to welcome home its illustrious son after a successful professional career, the Southern Kaduna Leadership Council (SKLC) will honor former Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa (rtd), with the country’s highest honour, the Grand Commander of Southern Kaduna (GCSK).
The grand reception scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025 will be held at the Kafanchan Municipality Stadium, the commercial headquarters of Kaduna Southern Zone.
At his 19th Council meeting held at the Throneroom Trust Ministry, Kafanchan, at the weekend, the SKLC President, Elder Ishaya Dary Akau (OON), announced that General Musa will be decorated with his highest honor of Grand Commander of Southern Kaduna.
He said this was because he represented the area, Kaduna State and Nigeria in general.
According to him, the retired general is a worthy ambassador in his military career and the most outstanding chief of the Defense Staff that the country has produced.
Meanwhile, SKLC also inaugurated the Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna State Inland Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams, as Chairman of the Southern Kaduna (Cultural) Festival (SKFEST) Finance Committee, with Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, executive chairperson of Jaba local government area, will act as secretary.
Other members of the committee include the Hon. Wilson Iliya Yangye, Deputy Comptroller, Universal Insurance; Mr. Kabir Kasim, Corporate Affairs Manager, North, Ngeria Breweries, PLC; Honorable. Christopher Haruna, former chairman of Zango Kataf local government area, and Mr Danjuma Kai, among others.
