Popular Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly shared what she described as her freedom from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and long-standing anger issues during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church.

Dikeh gave the testimony during the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations service, led by church founder Pastor Jerry Eze, according to a video shared by DCLImagery on YouTube on Sunday.

Addressing the congregation, the actress said she started smoking at age 13 and struggled for years with alcohol and masturbation, something she said only ended thanks to divine intervention.

“I smoked since I was 13. God also healed me from masturbation. I know I have sex in my dream since I was a child,” she said.

He explained that his appearance at the altar was both an act of thanksgiving and a public testimony, adding that he initially considered withdrawing due to concerns about his image.

“The devil tried to tell me that I should protect my image. But I said to myself: what image? The God who gave me the image is the same God who can take it away from me,” he said.

Dikeh further stated that after attending the Ghana Prayer Conference, he noticed a significant change in what he described as years of spiritual oppression.

“I realized that the weak man who held me captive for all my years in my dream escaped,” she said, describing the moment as a turning point in her spiritual life.

The actress also opened up about her struggle with what she called “demonic rage,” which she said had negatively affected her relationships and personal life.

“An anger that destroyed my life. Everyone had to feel it. But by praying with NSPPD, God took all that away from me and gave me peace,” he said.

According to Dikeh, the peace he now experiences is something he has never known before.

“I am 40 years old and I can tell you that until now I have never known peace. I am living in it,” he said.

She revealed that her smoking habit lasted approximately 27 years and began after early exposure at home, and used her experience to warn parents not to expose their children to harmful habits.

“I started smoking because my dad was a smoker. Something as small as that habit can inhabit your children’s lives,” he said.

Dikeh added that after praying for divine help, he no longer feels like smoking or drinking alcohol.

“My body doesn’t ask for it. My body repels it. Today it is broken,” he said.

During the service, Pastor Eze prayed for the actress, declaring that “the body of sin is broken” and describing her as “a voice in her generation.”

The actress also shared photos of the church on her Instagram page, captioning them: “A living testimony of mercy. A saved, restored and commissioned God.”
