Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters (DHQ) on Saturday raised the alarm over the attempt to compromise its official X account (formerly Twitter) and urged the public to ignore any suspicious, unauthorized or misleading content that may be posted from the account during this period.
This is contained in a statement made available to defense correspondents in Abuja by the Director of Defense Information, DDI, Major General Samaila Uba.
However, he assured the public that efforts were being made to fully restore control of the official account.

“DHQ remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of information security and ensuring that the public continues to receive accurate, timely and credible information on the activities and operations of the Nigerian Armed Forces.”
