Addressing delegates from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja, the National Chairman of the party, Professor Abubakar Umar Sadiq Gombe, declared that the SDP is more united and ready to take over from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2027.

He urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the democratic governance of the nation as the Party had everything needed to make the country great again.

He identified poor leadership as the nation’s main problem but assured that the SDP was adequately prepared to resolve it once given the mandate in the pools.

The Convention also ratified the National Executive Council of the Party led by Professor Gombe and the decisions taken so far on the administration of the Party.
