The Governor of the State of Osun, Senator Adela Adelek, on Thursday, said the inscription of inmates in the free health scheme, with the optimism that President Bola Tinubu at any time at a distance would decide the problems of the local government in favor of his administration.
The governor who made the comment to take off the registration of inmates in the state -free health insurance scheme at the Ignoon Correction Center, said that “we maintain financial discipline to maintain the State in operation, we have much hope that the local government crisis will soon be resolved within the context of the law rule and respect for the Federal Constitution.”
“We believe that your excellence, like this Waju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Gcfr, will eventually decide on the matter in our favor. My administration has maintained financial discipline to fulfill the obligations waiting for the resolution of the crisis.”
“Many have asked how we are achieving all this despite the thin financial situation of the State, especially in the last seven months. The answer is simple. In addition to being firm believers in God, we adopt transparency and priority spending on the management of state funds. We have increased our income generated internally and we tried our special project account.”
“Let me appreciate the Nigerian lawyers association, our real parents, the various unions, the clergy and several stratos of society for their sustained appeal to the federal government and the presidency for the release of Osun Held assignments.”
“The great public support in favor of the Government of the State of OSun strengthens our faith in the legality and moral of our position on the issue of local government leadership.”
Regarding his government’s decision to register inmates, he said, it derives from the need to extend the services for the provision of medical care to all types of people throughout the state.
“We consider inmates in our correctional facilities as citizens in good faith of this state and our country. Their medical care and general welfare must continue to be a matter of priority.”
“As everyone should have observed, our administration does not discriminate against any base; either political affiliation, tribe, religion or gender to extend the dividends of democracy to all citizens and residents of the State of Osun.”
In his speech in the event, Dr. Razaq Akindele, executive secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency (Oshia), expressed his gratitude for the leadership style of Governor Adekeke. He stressed that the governor believes deeply in the value of humanity.
According to Dr. Akindele, Governor Adelev is an empathic person who cares for all, regardless of his class or social status.
However, he emphasized that “the registration exercise would cover the correction centers of ILESA and ILE-MEF and include both the people of the trials and the inmates, either in the death corridor or in the life of the prison.”
Subsequently, the Executive Secretary said that the current administration whose brand is: “well -being”, would give more smiles to people in the state.
In his own submission, the correction controller, Rotimi Oluwadele said: “The gesture of Governor Adeke is a great relief for both inmates and for the workers of the organization.
However, he accused other governors in the country to emulate Adeke to be able to encourage inmates to feel that they are still part of society.
