The Royal Royal Family in the area of the local government of Odigbo of the State of Ondo, over the weekend, appealed to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to accelerate the actions in the process for the installation of the new monarch for the city, five years after the vacancy on the throne.
The royal family said the appeal became necessary after the statement of the Court that pronounced and affirmed the right of the family to produce the next oreario of mineral.
Speaking after the family meeting, the head of the ruling house, the high chief of Temidioso Adesanlu, expressed concern for the interregno since the disappearance of the late monarch in 2019, despite the trial of the Court.
According to him, the community has a history of peaceful transitions to the throne, noting that the current crisis that threatens to interrupt the tradition had been buried.
Adesanlu said that with an adequate traditional institution that was not in place, the community had continued to face a series of challenges.
He said since the court had ruled in his favor; The state government should, without further delay, install a new monarch of the family.
He said: “We have been in this case since 2006 and we won the case in court in 2018. The court was explicit in his trial that the ruling house of the deros should produce the new monarch and we are resolved that our family will produce the next king. We receive the trial before the death of the former monarch.”
A former chief of the Royal Family, Mrs. Florence Elizari, emphasized that the stool was designed to be rotational among the renowned ruling houses, but some people had been planning to shorten the ruling house of the Deros.
“Our ancestors gave us the current land we are occupying; we do not buy any land in mineral. My father is the first family chief throughout the mineral. There are three family trees in mineral and is based on rotation, but some people try to be intelligent, but God is above them. We later win in court,” said Mrs. Elizari.
Another leader of the ruling house of the 'Deros, Moretiola Akinjeji, said: “We are admiring to God that what is legitimately will be given to us. They are trying to deceive us, but God has been standing.
“When we talked about the history of the mineral, most people against the ruling family of 'Dero do not know. They took us to courts the first time; we won and did it the second time, they also defeated them.”
The youth leader of the family, Abiodun Akinriboya and the secretary, Kolawole Folorrunso, expressed his optimism that the state government will take the necessary measures without further delay to resolve the dispute of persistent succession and guarantee peace in the community by installing the monarch of the Royal Family of Adrotimi.
“At the trial, it was stated that the Royal Family ('Dero) should present the next oil. Then, we are supplicating the state government to install the monarch of the Royal Family of Adherotimi (' Dero).
“We are determined that our family will install the new smero and we are appealing to the state government to do what is necessary.” Folorrusho said.
