A 20 -year -old boy, Muhammad Salisu, supposedly killed his own 52 -year -old biological father, Salisu Abubakar in the Gwaram local government area of ​​the state of Jigawa.

A resident told Daily Post that the incident occurred on Monday night at Bakin Kasuwa Quarters, Sara District, Gwaram Lga.

He said the family worked and found the deceased full of blood with several cuts around his entire body.

He was urgently taken to the hospital and was declared dead by the doctor.

Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Jigawa status command, sp. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement issued to Daily Post.

According to him, “today, on Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 1000 hours, the information available to the command revealed that a Muhammad Salisu, 20 years old, by Bakin Kasuwa Quarters, Sara district, Gwaram Lga, attacked his 57 -year -old biological father, a Salisu Abubakar of the same direction with the Matchet.

“As a result of the attack, the victim suffered shoulder wounds, neck and chest.

“Upon receiving the report, the Sara Divisional Police officer and his patrol team were mobilized and transferred to the scene and the victim was evacuated to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Birnin Kudu for their medical care.”

He said that the victim was later confirmed by the doctor on duty and that his body was released to the relatives for the burial.

Sp. Shiisu said the suspect was arrested and that the exhibition recovered.

He pointed out that Jigawa's State Police Commissioner, PC in Abdullahi, ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, for discreet investigation, and that at the end of the investigation, the suspect would be prosecuted in court to face the total weight of the law.
