Veteran Yoruba actress, Philips Idowupopularly known as Iya Rainbow, has rejected the long-standing claim that the late actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolualso popularly known as Baba Agbako, was the father of Wasiu Alabipopularly known as Pasuma, saying that the two were not biologically related.
In a recent interview, the actress called the rumor false and explained how she thinks it started.
According to Iya Rainbow, Pasuma’s late mother worked as an actress with Baba Agbako during her time in the Yoruba film industry, which may have led some people to assume that there was a family connection.
He also recalled that Pasuma was already a young adult before his mother introduced him to members of the entertainment industry.
“It always surprises me when I hear people call the late Baba Agbako as Pasuma Wonder’s father. A lot of people just choose to talk nonsense because how are they related? The late Pasuma Wonder’s mother used to be an actress like me. Everyone in our industry can attest to that, and she was under Baba Agbako back then.

“Pasuma Wonder was already a grown child before his mother brought him into our industry. When Pasuma became popular, he decided not to abandon all of us who were close to his mother, including me.
“Pasuma Wonder is a very good son; I always pray for him that he does not stay young; he will live a long time in good health and sound mind in the Name of Jesus. I love Pasuma Wonder very much and may God bless him abundantly.”
The veteran actress also praised the Fuji singer for staying close to people who shared a relationship with his late mother.
He said Pasuma has continued to show respect and loyalty to those who were part of his mother’s life, adding that he has not forgotten them despite his success.
