The Nigerian Labor Congress, NLC, has issued a two-week ultimatum to the federal government to reverse the recent increase in electricity rates and the sale price of gasoline or face civil unrest across the country.
This is the result of the Central Labor Committee meeting held for several hours in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
In a statement read by the president of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, the organization said that the ultimatum takes effect immediately, warning that at the end of its expiration on September 28; It would mobilize its members across the country to provoke civil unrest.
