The Comptroller General of the Customs Service of Nigeria (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, will deliver the 2025 edition of the National Conference of the National Meeting of the Association of Muslim Graduates of the University of Obafemi Awolow (Unifemga) on May 10.
The event, which takes place in the prestigious Oduduwa Hall of the University of Obafemi Awolowo, Ile-eva, will have a transformative speech on trade and cross-border security.
In a statement signed by the president of the Planning Committee, Professor Sirajudeen Obayopo, and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ibrahim Fagbenro, it was observed that Adeniyi, an OAU student, would talk about the topic of the conference: “Transversal trade and security implications on Nigeria's economy: taking advantage of global commercial dynamics.”

The three -day conference, which extends from Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 11, promises a variety of activities aimed at intellectual discourse, networks and community participation.
Obayopo revealed that the event would be adorned by the governor of the state of Osun, Nurudeen Adela Adelek, as a special guest of honor, while his imperial majesty, IFE's OONI, Oba Adeyeye Initan Ogunwusi, Oja II, would serve as the real father of the time. Dr. Muritadha ADEYEMI ADENIJI, managing director/CEO of Global Starling and Ideal Limited, will preside over the occasion, with Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire as vice chancellor host.
Other notable attendees include Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali San, three Vicerrectors of Unifemga: Prof. Wahab Egbewole San (University of Ilorin), Prof. Musa Aibinu (Summit University, OFFA), and Prof. Akeem Laisi (Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun): Among others.
The Conference will begin with a Jumat service led by the chief of Imán Prof. Abubakar Sanusi, followed by a courtesy call about the vice chancellor of the university and a network dinner with the Forum of Investor Unifemga 2.0, housed by Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti, president of Bot de Unifemga and pro-chancer of the Summmit University, of OFFA.
Other activities include the “Unifemga Investor Forum”, which offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their businesses to possible investors, a student picnic, scholarship presentations, an AGM, student empowerment programs, physical conditioning exercises and novel matches between branches.
The national president of Unifemga, Alhaji Mohammed Bonari, highlighted the uniqueness of this meeting, aligning it with the beginning of his mandate. He expressed optimism that the conference would be an exciting experience for delegates.
“With more than 300 delegates, including those of the diaspora, already registered, the National Meeting Conference of 2025 will be a meeting of minds dedicated to progress and unity,” the statement concluded.
