The Chairman of the House Committee on Pilgrim Affairs, Hon Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, has urged Christians in Nigeria to show love to their neighbors while celebrating Christmas.

Nalaraba, in a statement from his media office, said that “the occasion of Christmas has given Christians around the world another opportunity to rescue the needy, feed the hungry and house the homeless in our society.”

The legislator representing the federal Awe / Doma / Keana constituency of the state of Nasarawa in the National Assembly reiterated that “no religion preaches hatred. We need to find strength in our diversity and celebrate all that we have in common, which is a bigger Nigeria. “

He said that “although the Covid-19 pandemic has made it impossible for Christians to make pilgrimages to holy places this year, we must not forget the lessons of compassion, courage and empathy, as well as allow love to prevail in all that we do.” . .

Nalaraba wishes Nigerian Christians a Merry Christmas and recommended everyone to celebrate without violating Covid-19 protocols of washing hands regularly, avoiding large gatherings and wearing face masks.
