The senator who represents the central senatorial district of Bauchi of the state of Bauchi, Abdul Ahmed Ningi, has declared that he is still a member of the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP).

The senator dismissed the reports of his dropout to join a coalition for the 2027 elections.

In a statement he signed, Ningi declared that, “I, Senator Abdul Ahmed none, I want to address the public, the media, my supporters and the people of Nigeria with full transparency and an unwavering conviction.

“There is no space for speculations or misunderstandings: I am a dedicated and loyal member of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP).

“I have spent the entire political career on the PDP platform, a party that has constantly represented the hopes and aspirations of the Nigerian people.”

Senator Ningi, therefore, reiterated his commitment to follow the guidelines and principles of the PDP: “My trip in the public service has always been guided by the principles of responsibility, equity and governance centered on the people of the party.

“Over the years, I have served with distinction in the National Assembly, first as a member of the House of Representatives for 12 years, then as the Senate's attached leader, and now as president of the Northern Senators Forum.

“Through these roles, I have always taken the PDP flag with proud, dignity and unwavering belief in its vision of a better Nigeria.

“In the light of recent developments and the emergence of a new coalition party that is informed in the media and political circles, I want to make it clear that I have no affiliation with that political movement.

“I am not part of that, I have not supported it, and I do not subscribe to its formation or purpose. My name and reputation should not be used in any attempt to promote or legitimize any political structure outside the PDP.

“My approach remains unchanged: work tirelessly within the framework of the PDP to achieve significant progress to our people.

“In this critical moment in the history of Nigeria, what we need is unity, direction and firm commitment to rebuild confidence in leadership. The PDP represents these values, and I am proud to be part of its mission.

“I urge the general public to ignore rumors, misrepresentations or insinuations that suggest my participation in any political alliance outside the PDP. I remain where I have always been, with the democratic party of the people.

“Loyalty is not just a word; it is a beginning. I am next to my party. I serve people. And I will continue leading with truth, honor and integrity.”
