The National Labor Committee (NWC) of the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) has ordered its South-South Zonal Caregroad Committee that supervises the chapter of the Cross River State Party in the interim.
The decision followed the expiration of the possession of the State Executive Committee of Cross River elected on September 18, 2025.
The Carecaker Zonal Committee, chaired by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, will supervise the chapter until the State Congress scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, said the NWC on Thursday night.
“This decision of the NWC is to ensure that there is no vacuum in the matters of the party in the state of Cross River before the appearance of a new state executive for the chapter.
“With this, the Zonal Caregroad Committee of the South South led by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi is aimed at liaison with the NWC for the realization of the State Congress of the year 2025 in the state of Cross River to choose a new executive committee for the chapter on Saturday, September 27, 2025
“The NWC accuses all leaders, interested parties and members of our party in the state of Cross River to remain united, firm and continue working together in the general interest and progress of our great party in the state,” said the National Secretary of PDP advertising, Honorable Debio Oologunagba.
