Edo Pride, the platform launched to promote the culture of the Edo people and celebrate those who have excelled in their fields, has been welcomed by both indigenous and non-indigenous people from Edo state, who described it as a breath of fresh air.
On the reasons why the platform has been widely accepted on this scale, the platform’s promoter, Mr. Kazeem Bello-Osagie, said that it had been encouraging and had gained strength over the desire and yearnings of the Edo people to celebrate and be celebrated, regardless of their beliefs and ethnicity.
He further said: “Edo Pride is the unique virtual compendium of Edo’s cultural heritage, mixed with accolades for makers and accomplished individuals, all on one page, devoid of partisanship and tribal sentiment.
“I think that nothing is impossible when you work hard. Create and learn from others who have been successful. Edo Pride is that template to inspire Edo’s mind, ”added Bello-Osagie, renowned for his innovative thinking and strategic planning.
On whether this was limited to indigenous Edo, Mr. Kazeem Bello-Osagie stated that “Edo is a state of mind and by our cosmopolitan nature, from the Midwest region to Bendel state and finally divided into Edo states and Delta, we have always been a home to everyone. “
He reiterated that anyone who was born, lived or studied in the state of Edo, has a special bond with Edo as a home, and by default is an integral part of Edo Pride. “
On the future of Edo Pride, he stated that there is a lot in the box, it has not yet unfolded and he is very excited about the future of Edo Pride.
