Senator Teslim Folarin, former Senate leader and All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in 2023 in Oyo State, has described the nomination of former Oyo First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, for an ambassadorship as well-deserved.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Folarin said the nomination reflects the ability and character of the former First Lady.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he called a thoughtful and appropriate election, noting that Mrs. Ajimobi is well prepared to represent Nigeria.
“Her Excellency Florence Ajimobi is well travelled, much exposed and richly equipped with the intellectual depth and diplomatic capacity necessary for ambassadorial service.
“She is a woman of substance, grace and unwavering commitment to the public good. I sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making such a wise and well-deserved decision,” said Senator Folarin.
Folarin added that Mrs. Ajimobi has demonstrated leadership, maturity and patriotism over the years, qualities that he believes will be reflected in her new role.
He expressed confidence that she will represent Nigeria with honors wherever she is posted.
Senator Folarin also prayed that God would grant her wisdom, protection and success in her new assignment.
