A long time ago, a very important person named Senator Anyim Pius Anyim used to be the boss of the Nigerian Senate. He also helped run the government. This person has now joined a new group called the All Progressives Congress, or APC, which is in charge of making big decisions in Nigeria.
People started talking on June 29 that Senator Anyim Pius Anyim had left his old group, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to join the APC.
On a happy Saturday, Senator Anyim was welcomed into the APC family by a big boss named Abdullahi Ganduje. This happened along with other important people from the Southeast part of Nigeria.
The big welcome event took place at a place called Abakaliki Stadium. It was a big party rally where many people gathered.
There were many important guests at the event. One of them was the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, along with other important members of the APC.
