HBO has officially launched the new potential customers for its highly anticipated television series Harry Potter.
Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout will play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively. The trio will lead the series, which is expected to cover at least a decade.
These actors follow the steps of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who starred in the original blockbuster films.
The Francesca Gardiner showrunner and director Mark Mylod shared their emotion: “After an extraordinary search directed by the casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce that we have found our Harry, Hermione and Ron.
The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful in view, and we cannot wait for the world to witness its magic together on the screen.
We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who audition. It has been a real pleasure to discover the large number of young talents. “

More than 32,000 children auditioned for roles, which makes it one of the largest casting searches in the recent television history.
Filming will begin this summer in Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. The series will premiere in 2026.
The three actors are relatively new on television. McLaughlin appears in the next series of BBC action adventures, while Stanton played Matilda in Matilda the musical in the West End in London.
The casting call, which was previously reported, invited children from 9 to 11 years (from April 2025) of the United Kingdom and Ireland to audition.
The notice emphasized a commitment to inclusive and diverse casting, asking agents to “present qualified artists, regardless of ethnic origin, sex, disability, race, sexual orientation and gender identity.”
The applicants had to present two audition videos: one that makes a story or poem, and another presenting and describing someone or a pet with which they are close.
The program has also revealed several key roles for adults. Paapa Esssiedu will play Severus Snape, John Lithgow will portray Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer assumes the role of Minerva McGonagall and Nick Frost will appear as Rubeus hagrid.
Described as a “faithful adaptation” of the beloved books, the series is taking place in collaboration with JK Rowling, who has generated controversy in recent years by comments on trans rights.
Francesca Gardiner is writing and producing the series executive. Mark Mylod will direct multiple episodes and will also serve as an executive producer.
Other executive producers include Rowling, Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Leets for Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman for apogee movies.
The series will be transmitted on the HBO Max Renamed platform.
