The managing director of the National Authority of the Interior Parans (NIWA) and a head of the Congress of all progressives (APC), ball oyebamiji, on Tuesday they declared their governor ambition for the 2026 elections in the state of Osun.
The head of the party and its political associates that assaulted the state secretariat of APC in Osoagbo said that it was competent to run for the position.

Going to his followers shortly after a meeting with the party leaders, Oyebamiji declared for Osun's elections, saying: “After consulting with the party's leaders about my aspiration to become the governor of the State in 2026, I come here today to declare my intention.
“I am introducing myself to rescue this state. I have what I need to govern the State due to my experience in private and public sectors. I have acquired experience after having served as a finance commissioner in the state.
“I have what is needed to be governor if my party, APC, gives me the governor ticket. I will not only compete, I will win with everyone's support. We have seen how this state is poorly administered under the current government; they have totally diverted, which is not right with the principles of our party.
“Part of the experience I have, made President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Marine to press for the national assignment. I am declaring my aspiration to become the candidate of the party and also win 2026.
“Today I am here to honor the structure of the party and inform the leadership of the party of my intention to apply for state governor in 2026.
“So that we start any promotion or campaign, we have to come here (Party Secretariat) to have their blessing and communicate my interest today.
“I charge the leadership of the party to analyze the demand of some groups that stir that, the governor ticket must be zonal to the state's senatorial district of the State.
“Yes, I am from the West. For heritage and justice, we are appealing to our leaders analyze that senatorial district so that we can balance the equation.
“However, in the west, north and east of Central, ball oyebamiji is competent to apply for the governor's career.
“I will direct a good government if you are chosen, I have been in this government for almost 15 years, I have worked with the highest leadership of the party and I have spent 28 years in the private company, combining together. I have what is needed to administer a good governance if it is given the opportunity.”
