The veteran actor and filmmaker, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, has said that he has no plans to leave any property for his children as a polygamous.
In an exclusive interview with the Nigerian Tribune, the respected Nollywood icon, which is married to two wives, said that his main investment has always been the education of all his children.
The actor, who began his career as an actor in 1964 with the young concert party led by the late Eye Ladipo (Baba Mero), explained that he is passionate about education and that deliberately made him the basis of all his children, regardless of his professional elections.
“I never thought of letting any of my children stop me. The education you are talking about, I am very passionate about education. Unfortunately, I did not receive the support of my parents due to their level, but I took into account that all my children must be educated even if it is at least to obtain the first degree.
“By the time I met as a polygam, I have taken into account that I don't want to leave any property for my children. I need only two houses; one in lakes and another in my hometown. If you know money in my account, they compare it. I love education,” he said.

Oga Bello, who has 18 children, several of whom are thriving in the entertainment industry, said they never imposed their way, but encouraged their interests with discipline and support.
“I did not brought them or forced them to the industry, their passion grew on their own terms, when I discovered that Femi and some of his younger brothers showed interest in the film industry, I did not scold them well. For example, every time I go for essays and want to follow me and I will say no, except you have a good result.
“That made them work hard to get good results at school and here we are. I am very happy and overwhelmed. If I knew that he (Femi) will be a filmmaker, I will not spend much money at school, I would ask him to be and read the arts of cinema or cinema,” he added.
When addressing the issue of aging and health challenges among veteran actors, Salami emphasized the importance of individual preparation for old age, a culture that believes that there are many professions in Nigeria.
“Old age comes with so many challenges. That is safe. Prepare for old age is personal. On this side of the world, they are very bad with that in all professions. Most of us do not prepare.
