The Islamic Corporation for Investment Insurance and Export Credit (ICIEC), has pledged to support Nigeria's economic agenda by eliminating the main infrastructure investments and unlocking financing for development led by the private sector.
The Director of Legal Affairs of ICIEC, Mr. Hassan Idris, reaffirmed ICIEC's commitment to support Nigeria's economic agenda, when he directed a high -level delegation of the corporation to visit the Minister of Finance and the Minister Coordinating of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, Monday in his office in Abuja.

IDRISS highlighted the preparation of ICIEC to provide credit guarantees and political risk that can catalyze national and international capital flows in projects that promote growth and employment creation.
Previously, Edun explained the Federal Government's economic plan as part of the efforts to deepen financial collaboration and accelerate the delivery of priority infrastructure throughout the country.
The minister emphasized the importance of taking advantage of risk mitigation tools to collect private investment, particularly in sectors such as energy, transport and housing.
Mr. Edun said: “We appreciate ICIEC's continuous support to initiatives that directly improve productivity and livelihoods. By supporting commercially viable and socially shocking infrastructure, ICIEC is helping Nigeria to build a more inclusive economy, one in which the private sector is empowered to create jobs and boost innovation.”
Mohammed Manga, director, information and public relations, said the visit marks a renewed commitment to align the financial instruments with the infrastructure priorities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and indicates a stronger cooperation to mobilize resources that offer real and measurable benefits to Nigerian people.
