The leader of the United Kingdom Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, criticized the Prime Minister, the Labor Government of Keir Starmer, stating that the United Kingdom is “a home, not a hotel” and asking for harder immigration laws.
In a video published in his official X account on Friday, Badenoch accused the labor of weakening the borders of Great Britain and warned that new reforms could grant automatic British citizenship to up to two million immigrants from next year.
“Two million people! It is almost twice the population of Birmingham. That is massive,” he said in the 1: 11 minutes video.
Badenoch promoted the deportation bill supported by conservation as a firm response to what he called a national immigration crisis.
The key elements of the bill include deporting all foreign criminals, the introduction of mandatory age controls, raising visa conditions and salary thresholds, and eliminating the human rights law of immigration cases.
He also proposed to make the asylum reimbursable and completion of the permanent residence for those who have been based on the benefits of the government.
“Until that is law, we will not solve this. Labor should adopt it now. It's time to get hard.”
“That is what the conservative deportation bill offers, and we will go further. Our country is a home, not a hotel. And if we do not defend it, no one else will,” he said.
In the video subtitle, he accused the labor of blocking the measures constantly to cut immigration.
“The work has blocked every measure we have presented to reduce immigration and stop system abuse.
“Now they are pressing a half proposal, it is weak; it will not work. It's time for them to stop playing and support our deportation bill,” he wrote.
