The Obafemi Awolowo (OAMAC), Ikenne-Remo, state of Ogun, Venerable Samson Adeoye, has declared the Nigerian state, have declared that the Nigerians will continue to remember the first prime minister of the western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, for his unmeasurable contributions to the development of the region and Nigeria as everything.
He made the statement on Friday in his sermon in the 38th memory and employer service held in the Church in Ikenne-Remo.
The venerable Dogo said that many lessons of the life and times of the Awolowo chief could be learned, which, in 1949, founded the African newspapers of Nigeria PLC, editors of the Tribune titles, a newspaper that survives to date.
The clergy admonished today's politicians and citizens to emulate the virtues of truthfulness, fear of God and the spirit of responsibility embodied by the wise to make the nation great.
He said: “Pope Awolowo served his people with fear of God and the greatest veracity in his days on earth. He knew he would be responsible before his manufacturer one day. Many of his works are still standing today. The 25 -story building, Cocoa House, in Ibadan, is one of his legacies. What we can say most about a man who lives humanity.
“While we continue to remember Dad, we will continue talking about everything he did. Some roads built during his time as a regional leader are still in good condition. People happily refers to roads as Awolowo roads.
He recalled a recent statement accredited to the Governor of the State of Osun, Senator Adela Adelek, who was motivated by the philosophy of the sage to develop his state.
The cleric implored those who attended the service to consider impacting the lives of others as Awolowo did.
He argued that one of the greatest honors made the wise for his family, especially his “invaluable value jewel,” the Yeye Oodua, the head of Mrs. Hid Awolowo, was building a church in her memory.
“There is nothing that has not been said about Pope Awolowo. His good works are there for our leaders to accept for the good of those they serve.
“The nation is in a state of crisis as a result of bad governance. We have the challenge of mortality of mortality to the detriment of people. Our leaders must be focused and carry out policies and programs that would be beneficial for those who serve,” he added.
The archbishop of the ecclesiastical province of Lagos and bishop of the diocese of rowing of the Anglican communion, the most reverend Dr. Olusina Fape, while recognizing the spirit of religious harmony in Yorubaland, praised the presence of the chief magnet of Ikenne, Alhaji Hussein Lawal, to the service.
The president of Ann PLC, the ambassador, Dr. Oatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu, in his comments, appreciated everything presented for honoring the family and his father.
