'Inhuman and insensitive', the secretary of the NCPC condemns Benue murders

The executive secretary of the Nigerian Commission of Christian Pilgrimage (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has condemned the recent murders in the state of Benue, describing them as inhuman and insensitive.

In a statement published in Abuja today, Bishop Adegbite expressed a deep concern about the alarming situation in Benue, where the murders continue without respite.

He specifically denounced the recent massacre in the area of ​​the local government of GEMA, where numerous lives were lost, emphasizing that such acts against humanity cannot be tolerated.

“Firmly condemned this act assault by the perpetrators of these atrocious crimes against humanity,” said Bishop Adegbite.

He added: “Justice must prevail at this time to serve as a deterrent to others and avoid future occurrences.”

Bishop Adegbite extended his condolences to the government and the good town of the state of Benue, as well as the families of the victims, praying so that the souls of the deceased rest in peace and that their families find the strength to support their loss.

He urged security agencies to intensify their efforts to stop those responsible for the massacre and ensure that they face the consequences of their actions.

In addition, he emphasized the need for improved security measures to prevent such incidents from being used, emphasizing that these acts are reckless and harmful to Nigeria's reputation.
