Russian president, Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, have expressed concerns about growing instability in global energy markets.
Its warning occurs when tensions intensify between Iran and Israel, following the attacks of Iranian nuclear facilities.
In a telephone call on Monday, the two leaders discussed the possible global consequences of the conflict.
According to Kremlin, “they expressed concern about emerging risks for world energy markets and emphasized the importance of continuing active cooperation within the OPEP+format.”
Russia and Iraq are among the main oil producers in the world, and their comments reflect fears that the crisis can interrupt the supply and increase prices.
