The United States ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, confirmed on Monday that the United States embassy in Tel Aviv suffered minor damage after an Iranian missile strike near the area.
He pointed out that no injuries were registered among the personnel in the American diplomatic building.
The strike occurred when Iran launched a wave of missile attacks against Israeli cities in the early hours of Monday, in response to Israeli attacks on military objectives at the bottom of Iran.
Since then, both nations have issued warnings of greater escalation, which increases the fears of a broader regional conflict.
The photographs published by AFP showed generalized destruction in parts of Tel Aviv, with several destroyed buildings.
The Israeli army had issued warnings before so that residents sought refuge as missiles approached.
“Some minor damage due to brain skocks of Iranian missiles arrive near the branch of the Embassy in @telaviv but there are no injuries to the United States personnel,” Huckabe said in X.
He also announced that the United States embassy in Jerusalem would remain closed on Monday, citing current directives “refuge instead.”

The confrontation marks a dangerous turning point in long -standing hostilities between Israel and Iran.
According to reports, Israel's latest operations attacked military and nuclear sites within Iran and resulted in the death of senior commanders and nuclear scientists, according to Israeli officials.
In an attempt to avoid greater climbing, a senior American official revealed that President Donald Trump had intervened to deter Israel to aim at the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Despite this, Trump recognized on Sunday that tensions could still intensify, telling journalists: “Sometimes they have to fight” first, even when he encouraged both parties to “make a deal.”
