What i’ve been doing

I really appreciate my MillionDollar fans, 2019 made me realize that all my years in this game have not gone unnoticed. I had quite a limited time to shine, it was a mad dash from the moment “Cost A Thang” fell to “Lover Boy” “Spectacula.”

Then the pandemic held its ground, which really brought the entire industry to a standstill. While I was waiting for the shutdown to restart, I decided to start my own agency called Milliondollar Ideas Limited. We provide promotional services precisely for the emerging and rapidly growing artist. While we fully intend to expand to larger artist rosters over time, our actual focus, for now, is on the foundations.

I realized that many talented creatives want to make music and advance their craft independently and don’t necessarily have to sign a contract or commit to a deal. A fundamental problem is the way the Nigerian music industry is structured, you may not even have the opportunity to be heard as creative because you need to build a brand around yourself and, unfortunately, no one can easily give the right guidance and advice. .

I thought consulting could be a good way out. At MillionDollar Ideas Ltd, we work within our clients’ budget to help them achieve their goals professionally and provide advice on the next steps for their brands.

2020 was peculiarly all about collaborations for me, I had to keep my listeners busy and decided to connect with close friends of mine from Dj’s & Producers exploring the depth of my sound. I wrote Natural Highness during the confinement, Dj T Monie had already sent me the rhythm he wanted to turn it into a south-south song and I sent it to Steven Tones to connect us with the second verse. Lyquid Mix mixed and mastered, we created a powerful song with a great message.
“Gentleman” with Dj Oscar P was released to close the year.

What’s new with Okal?

“It’s good to be back and this time I’m here to stay. I have a lot of music to share with the world and I have plans for my debut work, and also a lot of collaborations for the year 2021.”

The Afro Soul singer Highlife is back with a new single titled “Thinking”.
Thinking is a controversial song that features a one-sided conversation by a lover discussing a relationship that seems to be full of lies and disguises. Hopes and prayers do not seem to produce any good results, acceptance seems to be the only way for lovers to find peace.
