In a great political meeting of the heavyweights of Itsekiri in Warri, Delta state, the Itsekiri nation has unanimously approved a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governor of the state of Delta, Sheriff Oborevwori, promising full support for his re -election offers in 2027.
When you go to journalists after the high -level interested parties meeting on Monday, the member who represents the Federal constituency of Warri in the National Assembly, Hon. Chief Thomas Ereyitomi revealed that the Itsekiri nation had resolved to align completely with the congress of all progressives (APC) for unity, progress and development of Nigeria.
Eeryitomi said that, apart from promoting a stronger political unit among the people of Itsekiri, the decision was influenced by their satisfaction with the performance of both leaders.
“President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori have done it extremely well. His commitment to infrastructure development and political inclusion is commendable. That is why we are boldly approving a vote of confidence in them,” he said.
The federal legislator emphasized that with all the Itsekiris now united under a political umbrella, the nation can speak in one voice and provide overwhelming support for both Tinubu and Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections.
Moving the confidence vote motion, Hon. Daniel Mayone Mayuku, another prominent political figure of Itsekiri, said that the entire Itsekiri nation, Across Warri Sur, Warri South-West and Warri North, had witnessed the tangible strides of both administrations and are determined to support them for a second term.
“Therefore, we adopt them to continue in the chair since 2027 as president and governor,” Mayuku said.
Excmo Oritsetimeyin Orugboh seconded the motion, emphasizing that the itsekiris are solidly behind both leaders and will give them “100 percent votes” in 2027.
Other dignitaries of the three areas of the local government at the political meeting of Itsekiri included the presidents of Warri South and the areas of the local government of the southwest of Warri, APC Chieftains-DR. Alex Ideh, Chief Ayirimi Emami, Dr. Joseph Otumara, Dr. Ronald Oritsejafor, Alex Eyengo Company and Hope George, among others.
Our correspondent reports that the approval event was not only a political statement, but a sample of solidarity of some of the most influential political voices of the Itsekiri nation, which symbolizes a unified front before the next general elections.
