According to the reports, two people were killed yesterday morning at Iso Bendeghe, Boki LGA of the state of Cross River.
This happened when the community was dedicated to a mortal clash with the people of the Boje community, its neighbors.
It is said that the cause of the communal shock is its age dispute over land ownership.
An eyewitness, James Ben, said the two people were killed on their farms.
He said: “Two people died while three others were injured. The injured are currently receiving treatment in a medical center.
“People ask the government and security agencies for intervention to prevent the situation from going to an additional escalation.”
When his reaction was asked, the president of Boki LGA, Eti-Eka Beatric Nyiam refused to speak.
The State Police Commissioner, Olusegun Omosanyin, could not also respond to investigations.
