Tunde Salami, an immigration lawyer born in the United Kingdom (United Kingdom), has described the payment of an amount that ranges between N15 million to N40 million to obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) as a caregiver in the United Kingdom or US

Salami announced this in an interactive session with the journalists of the Education Expo organized by TCL Global in Ibadan, state of Oyo.

He said that many Nigerian migrants have been disappointed with the payment of large quantities for Cos that are supposed to be free.

Salami, who is also the head of the TCL country, said that certificates are not destined to be sold, but that they give themselves to students who would have had some experience working as caregivers or caregivers while studying.

He regretted that the COS is what many people package how to travel for people under the Japa scheme and sell to the Nigerians at an exorbitant rate between N15 million and N40 million.

He explained that the policy is that people can enter through the students' or study route, and they can work as caregivers or caregivers waiting for their school program, after which the sponsorship certificate (COS) will be issued to allow them to work as a caregiver or caregiver after their school program.

The global TCL chief also added that many people are in depression because they were not prepared for what they knew when they arrived there, especially those who went through care work certificates.

“Since my practical experience, the last three years have brought different challenges for us, for the people who stay and for the immigration industry in the United Kingdom.

“The reason is that most people who arrived during these three years are not well informed. They think that when they arrive in the United Kingdom, all their problems will be solved. Without realizing, they arrive at the United Kingdom and another problem begins.

“Some of them are very unfortunate. They sold their properties, they sold their homes, their cars, thinking that everything would be fine when they got there, especially the people who go with these sponsorship certificates (COS), care routes and care things.

“As a company at that time, we were not involved in the sale of COS and attention needs because I told them that 85 percent of those attention needs are sold are false. Because genuine sponsorship licenses in the United Kingdom are free, they are not on sale.

“But they want you to go on a route like this, arriving as a student; while you are a student, you are working as a caregiver. While you work as a caregiver, you have developed the required skills. After studying, they will give you a sponsorship certificate (COS) for free.

“This sponsorship certificate is to work as a caregiver, that is what people pay N10 million, N20 million, N15 million, 10,000 pounds or 40,000 pounds for. At the end of the day, to the people who pay money, when they get there, there is no job for them. Therefore, it makes people enter depression.

“There is a lot of high level depression. People do not feel good there in the last three years because their expectations were really shortened, sincerely speaking. Therefore, it is something different.

“And for me, the personal, I realized that people do not want to hear the truth. They see people like us as a prophet of fatality. When you tell them that this is the right way to do so, they say no, they have someone who can help them.

“But unfortunately, when the problems arrive, we still have to develop many ways to support them. Many people are in depression because they were not prepared for what they knew when they get there. Especially those people who go with those care work certificates, all those things.

“The student's route remains the student's route. It will get a very extreme certificate. Passing any educational process in the United Kingdom is not easy.

“Then, when you have a certificate in the United Kingdom, it will never remain the same in your life. Therefore, it acquires a certificate. And from there, if you decide to stay, leave it and things like that, you can still get something. So that is what we have been doing. We have been honest and honest with our people. And that is what makes us different in the market.”

He urged the Nigerians to follow simple instructions, saying that the genuine cos is free, since care households and hospitals broadcast it for free for students who have had care experience with them.

He urged the Nigerians to stop the idea of selling their property to ensure COS before traveling, noting that these documents they pay to acquire are false and non -genuine.

“Simple instruction: the genuine cos is free. Do not pay for cos. Even for most hospitals that are recruiting nurses, it is free. They do not pay for it. Therefore, anything you are paying, know that it is not genuine. Prepare for it.

“Sincerely, the care work visa is intended for the people who are there with a type of visa, perhaps as a student. While as a student, he has been working with them, after working, he obtained the experience he needs as a caregiver, as a support worker. Then, this careful house and housing supported will give this free. Because he has developed around 3, 6 and 12 months of experience with them.

The Expo brought together representatives of many foreign schools and possible admission search engines to seek individual information and clarifications about the possibilities of pursuing their educational ambition in the United Kingdom, Canada and Europe.

Some of the foreign institutions of the Expo include the University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, the United Kingdom; the University of Lancashire Central, Preston, England; Greenwich University, London; and the University of Cranfield, Bedford, the United Kingdom, among others.
